How To Move Apps To Sd Card On Lg Rebel 2

  1. Android Central Question's Avatar

Fellow LG users--How can I change default photo storage location to SD card on LG L58VL (Rebel 2)?

I like the phone, and got one for several people in my church.

I have a Fiesta LTE (L64VL), which is easy to change storage locations, but when I go to camera settings on the Rebel 2, I have several icons, NONE of which are explained in any manual (SD card, 16:9 ratio, etc.)

Contacted LG support--CSR read from the manual, and then suggested that I copy files from internal storage to SD card--Duh!!!

Also, was not able to use call blocking on the Rebel 2, whereas it is easy on the Fiesta LTE.

    Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! In the Camera app, find the Settings icon and look for an option to change default storage location. Or are you saying that you can't find the Settings icon?

SD card would probably be the one to change photo storage location. 16:9 is the aspect ratio. (That's standard English - the ratio of the length of one side to the length of an adjacent side. You can change that - at least to 4:3.)

I KNOW where to find SETTINGS. Camera, three-dot-ellipsis, settings (cog). Unfortunately, there are NO WORDS, just ICONS, and I can't even find their explanations in the LG58VL/Rebel 2 manual, nor could the TECH SUPPORT REP for LG, nor on the web. I was hoping one of you Android "gurus" would know. So far, no one can give me the answer.

Ok, no need to shout. Keep in mind that we don't have your phone in hand, and many phones do things differently, so we have to start with some basic questions.

Can you show us a screenshot of the Camera settings? http://forums.androidcentral.com/gen...d-central.html

My apologies. But I DO know how to find Settings. I have the screenshot, and have pared it down to 123K size. Is there a way to post it directly? I am using Firefox 65.0, 64-bit. If I could simply attach the file, it would be easy, but it looks rather convoluted to submit the pic.

I'm not sure if it's different using the mobile forums site on your browser -- if you don't see an Attach Image option, then use the Request Desktop Site option in the browser settings for this site, and you should be able to upload the image using the Attach Image button (right between the Unlink and Attach Video buttons in the editing ribbon).

Sorry to sound ignorant on the interface, but please walk me through. I found the Settings cog on the page, and set up full WYSIWYG browser, but don't see any other desktop options.

OR is there an email address that I can send to? I don't plan to do a lot of posting. I can pretty much handle the majority of the research itself, just can't seem to find the documentation. Even the "tech support" at LG was reading from the manual, and suggested that I use File Manager to transfer files from internal storage to the SD card. I guess it helps non-tech-savvy old people. I always tell the folks I helped with their phones (for no money, BTW), pretty much in their 70's, and one lady in their 90's that cable, internet and cell service providers make their money by keeping people IGNORANT. Having something seen as a "black box" seems to make it easier to sell their products/services as some kind of a "secret that only WE know"...

Sorry, here it is again, this time with the Attach Image button circled.

No, it isn't what I see. Thus, the request to walk me through. BTW, your attachment shows up as Attachment 309929, nothing more, so the circle is not visible. Again, if I start with the Settings cog, what is the sequence or steps to achieve the screen view? If you tell me THAT, I would be all set, hopefully.

Also tried it with IE 11, with the same result. Perhaps my firewall (Bullguard Premium) has settings preventing the screen you show me.

Sorry, I fixed that followup image.

Do you mean that you've selected the "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" option in the forum's General Settings? That would be under Settings Cog>General Settings.

Do you only see a plain Reply box, without any editing features at all?

I'm assuming you're on a laptop doing this, since you mentioned IE 11.
