Stylish and Sustainable Hardwood Desktops
Authenticity makes the difference. Some desk makers simply stain maple wood to imitate other hardwood species, satisfied with expensive imitations. At UPLIFT Desk, we don't believe in that approach.
We offer real hardwoods with rich colors and distinctive grains, including acacia, ash, walnut, and luminous, red-hued African mahogany. These heavyweight desktops are cut to a solid 1.75" thick (which is about 1/4" thicker than most solid wood furniture).

Both the UPLIFT V2 and UPLIFT V2-Commercial Frames are built with top of the line quality components and precision machining that is built to last. Certifiably sturdy and strong; both frames meet the ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-2014 standard for durability and stability.
The combination of one-to-one motor to leg ratio and advanced collision sensors result in an industry leading anti-collision system. Unlike other desk brands, the UPLIFT Desk anti-collision feature works great as the desk moves up or down, and the sensitivity can be adjusted to account for usage differences.
A desk that raises quickly to a preset height with a touch of a button is a desk that you'll use more often to keep moving. Using a desk should be effortless and fun. UPLIFT Desks are equipped with 3-stage legs with a large vertical range to allow frequent sit-stand transitions throughout each day. UPLIFT Desks have a 33% greater height range and are 33% faster than competing desks. Less-capable 2-stage desks have a substantially limited vertical travel range and are considerably slower, which can impact comfort and productivity if the desk doesn't go low or high enough for the task at hand.

The UPLIFT V2 and V2-Commercial desks are equally stable. The V2-Commercial desk has a height range that starts at about 3" lower than the V2 and conforms to the ANSI/BIFMA G1-2013 height standard. The key difference between the two is the height range as listed below:
- The V2 Desk has a height range of 25.5"-51.1" with a 1" desktop. That's a 25.6" travel distance. This desk is ideal for users 5'4" to 6'7" tall. Adding a keyboard tray allows the V2-Commercial desk to accommodate a 4'10" user
- The V2-Commercial Desk has a height range of 22.6"- 48.7" with a 1" desktop. That's a 26.1" travel distance with a lowest height that's about 3" lower than the V2 desk. This desk is ideal for users 5'0" to 6'3" tall. Adding a keyboard tray allows the V2-Commercial desk to accommodate a 4'6" user
- Adding casters raises the desk and is a good way to accommodate very tall users. Keep in mind that using an UPLIFT Rocker-X board adds 2.5" to your standing height
The UPLIFT V2 Desk has stability braces at the top of each leg for maximizing stability without the need for a lower crossbar between the legs. To provide the space needed for the stability braces, the leg orientation is inverted with the larger telescoping tube section at the top. These angular stability braces eliminate side-to-side wobble and replace the need for a lower crossbar.
For the V2-Commercial Desk to achieve a 3" lower starting height with a larger overall height adjustment range, the three telescoping leg sections were designed to be shorter and travel farther. Because of this, the telescoping leg stages overlap each other less than they do on the V2 desk legs. To compensate for less overlap, the V2-Commercial desk has thicker legs connected by a lower crossbar. The end result is best-in-class stoutness that matches the award-winning stability of the V2 desk.
The V2-Commercial Desk was developed to optimally accommodate users under 5'4" tall. It meets the ANSI/BIFMA G1-2013 height standard to accommodate users who are 5'0" to 6'3" tall (5th percentile female seated height to 95th percentile male standing height). With the lower starting height, the V2-Commercial Desk also better accommodates children. Adding a keyboard tray allows the V2 desk to accommodate a 4'10" or taller user, and allows the V2-Commercial desk to accommodate a 4'6" or taller user.
We recommend the use of a keyboard tray with either desk to position the keyboard and mouse so your wrists are perfectly straight and the keyboard tray height is perfectly positioned either lower or higher than your desktop height. The optimal position for your keyboard and mouse is to have your upper arms hanging comfortably at your sides, with elbows at about 90 degrees, and wrists perfectly straight while typing and mousing. This will usually place the keyboard tray just above your lap. UPLIFT keyboard trays have 8" of height adjustment and move vertically from 5" below to 3" above the underside of the desktop (without a 2.8" thick track spacer). Adding a keyboard tray allows the V2 desk to accommodate a 4'10" or taller user, and allows the V2-Commercial desk to accommodate a 4'6" or taller user.
Tap Into Your Desk's Full Potential
The Basic Keypad is an entry-level keypad with no advanced features. It has up and down buttons for height adjustment. To change the desk height, press and hold a button until the desk reaches the desired height.
The Advanced Keypad adds these features:
- One touch movement (optional) - Tap a button to transition between sitting and standing height, without holding the button down. Lets you reposition your chair and get ready to stand while the desk moves.
- Child Safety Lock - Prevent the desk from moving until deactivated
- Min & Max Height Settings - Prevent your desktop from impacting shelves above or cabinets below
- Auto-Dark Display - LED display will go dark 10 seconds after use
- Desk Height Calibration - Calibrate the displayed height to account for the addition of casters
- Anti-Collision Sensitivity Adjustments - Dial in the anti-collision system to be exactly where you need it
The Advanced Comfort Keypad includes the Advanced Keypad features and adds an angled face for easier viewing, raised dividers between buttons for no-look operation, and a satisfying, rubberized, soft-touch feel.
The Advanced Paddle Keypad includes the Advanced Keypad features and adds intuitive desk adjustment with no need to look at the keypad. Double-tap the paddle and the desk moves automatically to a preset height. A programmable standing reminder feature notifies you when it's time to stand.

Advanced Keypad Feature: Tap a button or paddle to automagically position the desk. Then have time to move your chair and standing mat as the desk glides to your standing height.

Please note: the hammock is only compatible with the UPLIFT V2 Frame. It's not compatible with the UPLIFT V2-Commercial Frame because it interferes with the stability crossbar.

Note: Wood Desktops and Dry Climates
If the air in your area is especially dry, your wood desktop could be at increased risk of cracking and splitting. Wood naturally expands and contracts depending on the amount of moisture in the environment, and without enough humidity, the moisture in your desk can evaporate, leaving it vulnerable to warping.
It's a completely natural process, but it's unfortunately something that could affect your new wood desktop. If your desktop does crack or split, we're happy to send you a repair kit to fill the affected areas. If potentially repairing your wood desktop isn't something you're comfortable with, we recommend that you take a look at our Bamboo, Eco, or Laminate desktops instead.

- What choices of desktops do I have for quick ship desks?
Our UPLIFT V2 Solid Wood Standing Desks are available in many exotic hardwood species, including Acacia, Ash, Walnut, African Mahogany, and Pheasantwood.
- What makes African Mahogany different than regular Mahogany?
African Mahogany is a rich, red-tinted hue, compared to the plainer brown of traditional Honduran Mahogany.
- What's Pheasantwood?
Pheasantwood is a beautiful rare wood with a natural pattern that features contrasting gold and brown coloration, resembling the black and golden figured patterns of a pheasant's tail feathers. Sanded, it produces an intense reflection of color unlike any other. Note that Pheasantwood is an uneven wood, so you may see filler used in the construction of your top to create the smoothest possible surface.
- How quickly can I expect to receive this desk?
Our UPLIFT V2 Solid Wood Standing Desks are ready to ship the same or next business day. They will typically arrive within 4-6 business days after shipping, if you are located in the contiguous United States.
- Do these desks come with the same options to add grommets as other desks that you sell?
All standard desktop sizes of solid wood tops are available with grommets. For an option with no grommets, you will need to order the 80"x30" size desktop, or a Custom Solid Wood Desktop.
- What's the difference between solid wood and reclaimed wood?
Our solid wood desktops are made to order and crafted by hand by our expert woodworkers. If you're interested in a "recycled" wood, our UPLIFT V2 Reclaimed Wood Standing Desk are ideal choices, as they are made from salvaged wood that has been refashioned into a stunning desktop, saving a few trees in the process. If you're eco-conscious, keep in mind that for every solid wood desktop we sell, we plant five trees in U.S. National Forests through our partnership with the National Forest Foundation.
